Del Harris

This week former Milligan College basketball standout and NAIA Hall of Famer Del Harris will be among the best of the best of sports business professionals when he presents at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. Harris along with Howard Beck (columnist with the New York Times), Mike Leach (Former Head Coach – Texas Tech University Football Team), Eric Mangini (Former Head Coach – Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets) and Steve Pagliuca (Managing Director – Bain Capital & Co-Owner of the Boston Celtics) will sit on a panel titled Gut vs. Data: How coaches make decisions.

The conference is for industry professionals and students to discuss the increasing role of analytics in the sports industry. Harris and co-panelists will examine how elite coaches make key decisions and the growing impact of analytics.

The NAIA is proud to have Harris in the Hall of Fame! Most recently he was presented the Jerry Colangelo Award during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. The award recognizes his character, leadership and faith in the world of basketball, home and community. Congrats Coach!
