The NAIA met-up with teammates Mr. Larry Schimpf and Mr. Art Flaming…check out what they had to say about their national championship run and student-athlete experience. A big congrats to Mr. Schimpf and Mr. Flaming on their induction into the Hall of Fame.
Behind the starting line at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington, nearly 700 runners made their final preparations for the NAIA Cross Country National Championships. Over 1,500 fans from near and far lined the course as student-athletes made their journey through the park’s historic Parade Ground and Great Meadow.
Thousands have come to Sioux City this week to cheer on their teams in the NAIA Women’s National Volleyball Championship. It’s the fourth year Sioux City has played host to this event. 24 teams from across the country are taking part in the pool play tournament that leads to single elimination brackets. Tournament officials say teams like playing at the Tyson Events Center because they can play and practice in the same building. And they appreciate the support they get from fans in the stands.

Matt Kelley wasn’t sure he would walk again after suffering severe leg injuries during the 2008 tornado that leveled part of Union University’s campus.
